Biography
Michael Hughes was born on 12th June 1905, the third of 8 children of Michael Hughes & Annie Green.
He is listed in the 1911 census at age 5, living with his parents and is attending school.
In the 1926 census he is living on Bridge Street Swords along with his parents and siblings.
He lived his adult life in Seatown Villas, Swords Co Dublin, he married Maisie Monaghan on January 3rd 1932 and had 5 children, Paschal, Christopher, P.J., Margaret & Nuala.
Michael worked in the airport as a Fireman with his brother Patrick, who was an airport policeman.
In 1939 Michael worked to construct dublin airport, he is in the very centre of the picture linked here.
